Martabak: Pure Fat

Martabak is one of those food you can never eat more than just a slice, or two, in one occasion.

What’s Martabak? Indonesian Martabak is pure fat, guaranteed to deliver food coma were you brave enough to finish one whole portion. It is the following:

Super thick cake, hot, straight from the girdle. 6 tablespoon of butter, melting as soon as they come in contact with the cake. Unbelievable amount of chocolate meises sprinkled on top. Smothered with an overly generous portion of condensed milk. Cut in half and stack them together like a half-moon-shaped  burger. Cut into smaller pieces and put them into paper takeaway box to serve.

Yep, that’s what Martabak is.

And it comes in many flavors. The one above is chocolate and peanuts. My favorite is cheese and chocolate. Don’t forget to wash your fingers after as they will be extremely oily.

Not recommended for those with cholesterol problems.
